Experienced Django / full stack developer

Tridan.IT is an established software development company based in Norwich.  We specialise in developing web applications, for a diverse variety of sectors, and our applications are used globally.  We're a small, growing company, and a friendly team.

Role
We are looking to grow our development team and hire an additional full stack web developer.  Although the role is primarily development, it will also involve working with our support team, and directly with end clients.

Skills & experience
The essential skills required for this role are:

  • Django
  • PostgreSQL or experience with similar SQL databases
  • HTML5 / CSS
  • Javascript including AngularJS
  • Linux (working with servers)
  • Git
  • excellent verbal and written communication
  • ability to manage your time and workload
  • good team player working as part of a distributed team

Desirable skills include:

  • Django Rest Framework
  • experience of using Amazon Web Services and/or managing AWS resources
  • Go
  • ElasticSearch
  • Dev-ops experience – Puppet/Chef/Ansible/SaltStack

Terms
The role will be based in our Norwich (city-centre) office.

25 days holiday per year + public holidays

Salary £25k-35k

Support analyst

Tridan.IT is an established software development company based in Norwich.  We specialise in developing web applications, for a variety of sectors, and our applications are used globally.  We're a small, growing company, and a friendly team.

Role
We are looking to hire a technical support analyst for a major client.  You will be working closely with them, their clients and their suppliers.

The role will involve a variety of activities, but there are two key elements.  The first is providing 2nd line support:
    •    offering technical support for our online platform, via ticket/telephone/email
    •    supporting our first-line non-technical support team
    •    triaging bugs and providing reproducible bug reports to the development team

The second element to the role is managing data ingest for the client:

  • cleaning data (mainly spreadsheets) for ingest into our platform
  • working with suppliers to help them improve their data and minimise your involvement
  • resolving data issues

Skills & experience

  • The key skills required for this role are:
  • excellent verbal and written communication
  • ability to manage your time and workload
  • excellent excel skills
  • working as part of a distributed team
  • customer service skills
  • a wide technical knowledge around online platforms, including the internet, browsers, email
  • Basic understanding of SQL databases
  • Linux experience would be beneficial


Terms
Our client is primarily based in the US (west coast), so some flexibility in working hours will be required.  There will be a certain amount of work required in the evening (UK time) for prearranged calls, however we're not requiring the role to provide support for the full US working day.  The position is ideally full time, although we will consider part time applications, especially where flexibility in working hours is offered.

The role will be based in our Norwich (city-centre) office, but home working is an option, especially for hours outside of normal UK office hours.

25 days holiday per year + public holidays

Salary £18-23k
